An interesting twist...

We finally were able to open the CDs containing the ultrasound pictures of the baby; it wasn't possible for awhile because they are PC programmed, and I work on a Mac, which won't open the PC files.  It dawned on us that Chris has a little notepad computer and an external disc drive, and using those things we were able to open the files.  We made a discovery we were not prepared for!

Some of the pictures and the notations on the pictures suggest that I had been carrying twins; Chris and I were blown away.  I sent three images to Tina, my dear friend and would-have-been midwife, and she agreed that it looked like it had been a twin pregnancy, and doctor colleagues of hers concurred when she consulted them about it.  I suppose there is no way for us to know absolutely for sure, but it looks like we lost two babies instead of one.  One seems to have died several weeks before the second, because the sac is smaller and is empty.  I'm adding to this post three images that tipped us off.

Chris thought from the start we were going to have a girl, so we named them both: Olivia & Lillian, our angel babies :(
